- How do I get a prescription medication refilled?
Have your pharmacy send us a request by fax at (301) 891-6841. Please call your pharmacy first to make sure you have no remaining refills.
We can not give refills on antibiotics or steroids without seeing your child first. There are very few exceptions to this rule (such as if your child takes prophylactic antibiotics for a health condition such as sickle cell anemia, chronic urinary tract infections, etc).
We also do not give refills on medications prescribed by a subspecialist.
- How do I get a referral to a specialist?
If there is an issue in which the pediatrician has not seen your child for yet, you must first schedule an appointment with your doctor to assess the concern. If the doctor finds that a specialist is needed, he or she will write you a referral. A referral is only valid for 30 days.
- How do I get medical forms completed for my child?
If you need a school, sports, or camp form completed for your child, you can drop it off or fax it to our office anytime during our office hours. Please allow 24-48 hours for the forms to be completed. There is also a $5 charge for the completion of the forms for patients with commercial (non-Medicaid) insurance.
